The Eight Spheres
This collection covers the EIGHT SPHERES recognized during the breast cancer journey: The Diagnosis, The Wait, The Treatment, Self-Esteem, Sexuality, Fear of Recurrence, What Not To Say and, Family & Loved Ones. We also want this collection of personal accounts to be accessible to all women impacted by cancer outside our clinic, as well as their families. It is important for them to know that they are not alone. Writing their stories has been therapeutic for our participants in this project, and we hope that their stories will be therapeutic for you too. On behalf of the entire VM Med team, we would like to pay tribute to you. Our hearts go out to you.
Walk to Support Breast Cancer
On October 29, as part of Breast Cancer Awareness month, contributors and collaborators of Eight Spheres took to Mount Royal for a walk to support breast cancer. As part of the walk participants were asked to paint, color and write messages of support on stones and to leave them around the mountain.
Eight Spheres Official Launch
On February 7, contributors and collaborators of Eight Spheres gathered at SENS Hotel, for the official launch of the Eight Spheres. This marked the triumphant conclusion of many months of effort and dedication amongst the entire team. They all came together to celebrate publishing of the book.
